The year 2011 is the year of tablet, there are many tablets been released, some of them becomes popular like Kindle Fire, iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, Motorola Xoom, BlackBerry Playbook etc. And in this article, we will talk about 5 tablets which are commonly picked as top 5 tablets in 2011.



No 5. Motorola Xoom

iPad 2 runs on iOS 5 and comes with a 9.7-inch display, giving 1024 x 768 resolution at 132 pixels per inch. The tablet, which weighs 601 grams and 8.8mm thick, is powered by 1GHz dual-core Apple A5 chip. iPad still has a commanding share in the tablet market, with its ease of use, up to 10 hours of battery life and wide range of apps.

As one of the main competitors of iPad 2, Kindle Fire is famous for its revolutionary ecosystem and discounted price. It is a curious beast. While it’s not out in the UK yet, it’s making waves in the USA by virtue of its majorly modified Android 2.3 interface, its integrated iPad-like Amazon ecosystem and of course, a heavily subsidised price.



Note: Kindle Fire recognize only a few file formats like H.263 (.3gp, .mp4), H264 AVC (.3gp, .mp4), MPEG 4 SP/ASP (.3gp), VP8 (.webm), if you want to play video on Kindle Fire, you need to make sure, you video files are in the correct format for Kindle Fire, otherwise, you need to convert your video to Kindle Fire MP4 format.
